Course of the treatment
We introduce radiofrequency energy into subcutaneous fat of the treated area using a tumescent fluid and a handle with two electrodes. One is external, the other internal, and the RF current moves between them. The increased temperature coagulates the fat to the desired thickness, while at the same time the collagen is remodelled with a tightening final effect for the skin. A radio frequency generator is linked to a computer which controls the temperature of the skin, coagulated fat and tissue impedance limits. The fact that a constant maximum skin temperature is set means the device stops the supply of RF current if that temperature is exceeded. This feature prevents overheating of the skin and enables the safe maintaining of the maximum temperature.
Advantages of RF liposuction
During radiofrequency liposuction, the skin as well as the collagen are heated, thanks to which a toning effect of the skin occurs. Thanks to this effect in some cases, such as abdominal liposuction, for example, surgical removal of a belly overhang is no longer required. Another advantage is the use of smaller handle cannula in the facial area, which can be a substitute for facelifting. The greatest benefit is the safe heating of the skin collagen to a pre-set temperature and thus better tightening and firming of the skin (the body tightening effect).
